TNR Gold Los Azules Copper Royalty Holding - Rob McEwen: “We’re Currently Thinking Of Spinning It Out... And Fund That To Push It Forward To A Feasibility Study.”

The good news is coming in to bright up the days this Fall for TNR Gold and all our shareholders. We all more than deserve it after very hard work and I would like to extend our deep appreciation and gratitude to all our shareholders for your support of our Company. On your behalf, I would like to thank our very talented GEM Royalty TNR Gold Team. Our projects are growing. I am investing in our Company again and you are welcome to follow, learn more and join us, please do not hesitate to contact me personally. Do your own research, as usual, stay safe and enjoy the journey!

Today Rob McEwen is sharing with The Northern Miner his plans to awaken his "sleeping giant" - Los Azules Copper project. We discussed with you recent Royalty deals providing finally mark-to-market benchmark for potential valuation of TNR Gold Royalty Holding on Los Azules Copper based on the recent market transactions. Today you can listen to Rob McEwen about his plans for the development of this giant Copper deposit. Proud people of Argentina are ready to build their future and become the economic powerhouse in South America to feed The Switch and Tesla Energy rEVolution. TNR Gold is plugged into this energy transition with our Royalty Holding in Copper and Lithium.

The Northern Miner: "Asked about the situation in Argentina, McEwen noted that the country “has the unfortunate experience of almost every ten years it seems to go into a period of high inflation,” and are in the midst of that right now. “They are desperate for foreign investments, it’s a mineral-rich country, and they just haven’t got their mining laws together. They are inconsistent,” he said. “But I think we’re approaching a time where they are going to be more inviting and provide some safeguards to investments for foreign investors there.”

McEwen noted that the company’s Los Azules project in Argentina contains a large copper deposit, with indicated and inferred resources totalling 30 billion lb. copper and also has some gold and silver. To put it into perspective for gold and silver investors and convert the copper and silver into a gold-equivalent, Los Azules has about 19 million oz. gold-equivalent in the indicated category and another 37 million oz. gold in the inferred.

“We did a PEA on it using a US$3 per lb. copper price, and the economics on it are really robust. It envisions 415 million lb. of copper a year at US$1.14 per lb. copper. Copper right now is about US$3.14 per lb., so if I were to convert that again to a gold-equivalent, when you include the gold and silver credits, that would be about 800,000 oz. a year at US$800 an ounce.”

McEwen added that the large capex of $2.4 billion, at US$3 per lb. copper, could be paid back in under four years and run for 36 years. While he admitted that the size of the asset and capex is beyond McEwen’s balance sheet, the company continues to move it along and make it more attractive and is considering a variety of ways to advance the project.

“We’re currently thinking of spinning it out, and putting it with a copper project that we have in Nevada and create a separate company where we retain a large interest, to have the value reflected on our balance sheet and fund that to push it forward to a feasibility study.”

“I think it’s an overlooked asset in our portfolio mix,” he continued, adding that “a lot of investors like to have companies invested in gold and silver or in copper, but not have all of that in one company, especially in a smaller company.”

It is important to note for all calculations of the potential valuations that TNR Gold Los Azules NSR Royalty does not have any buyback provisions which applies to Taca Taca Royalty valuation:

"The royalty is subject to a buyback right based on the proven reserves at Taca Taca in a feasibility study completed by a recognized, international consulting firm that is contracted by mutual consent, including the royalty holders. Nova said the buyback amount will be equivalent to the amount of the proven reserves multiplied by the prevailing market prices of all applicable commodities within Taca Taca."

"TNR also holds a 0.36% NSR on the Los Azules Copper Project, located in San Juan Province of Argentina. The Los Azules Project is owned 100% by McEwen Mining Inc (NYSE:MUX) and is expected to be the 26th largest copper mine in the world once it reaches production.
A PEA at the project completed in September 2017, demonstrated a post-tax NPV8 of US$2.2bn with a post-tax IRR of 20.1%. Based on the PEA figures the mine is expected to generate average revenue per annum of U$953mln, which could generate around US$3.5mln a year to TNR over 37 years."

Lithium Race And Tesla Energy rEVolution: Proper Due Diligence Is The First Step To The Successful Investment In Any Junior Mining Company.

Every investor is making two the most important decisions for her investment: the first time when buying and the second time when selling such investment. The proper due diligence is the first step to the successful investment in any junior mining company.

Protection of shareholders and potential investors must be the first duty of every CEO and Board of Directors, but you should never rely on it solely as an investor.

One of the first steps of such DD, which I would always recommend is a letter to Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Company seeking financing.

Among the most important questions should be the following:

1. Request to provide minutes of the Board of Directors Meeting approving financing.

2. Have any of the Directors dissented from approval of the financing and why if it is the case?

3. Have any of the Secured Creditors or Debenture holders voted against granting General Security Agreement if it is the part of the Debt financing?

4. Are there any claims or potential claims against the Company, Directors and Management?

5. In case of participation of Insiders of the Company in the financing, can Legal Counsel confirm that approval of such financing was done appropriately without any violations of the security law?

6. In case of the exemption under which such financing has been conditionally approved, does it still apply to your particular case?

Corporate Governance is very important for all our industry: Clean Energy must be done with Clean Hands.

Lithium Race To The Total EV Market Domination Is ON: Elon Musk Confirms Next Tesla Gigafactory Will Be In China.

"Lacking any clear government strategy to support the transition to the Post Carbon Economy in the West apart from very brave experiments with "Clean Coal" in the US and "Clean DIEsel" in Europe, companies like Tesla have to compete for crucial supply chains for materials for the Next Industrial rEVolution with the state-level military machine "Made in China". China is already the largest market for EVs and the prize will be the total domination in this sector on the global scale."

Lithium Race To The Total EV Market Domination Is ON: Elon Musk Confirms Next Tesla Gigafactory Will Be In China.

Teslarati reports on the latest developments in the negotiations between Tesla and China. China is the Centre of the Lithium Universe already and now will become the new hub for the best technologies related to electric cars, lithium batteries and renewable energy in general. New Energy Plan developed by China over this decade is taking the most important chocking points in the supply chains in the world over step by step with the military discipline. Nobody can prevent this transfer of best available technology for EVs and Lithium Batteries now, the largest auto market and growth is in China and all automakers must be present there.

Lacking any clear government strategy to support the transition to the Post Carbon Economy in the West apart from very brave experiments with "Clean Coal" in the US and "Clean DIEsel" in Europe, companies like Tesla have to compete for crucial supply chains for materials for the Next Industrial rEVolution with the state-level military machine "Made in China".  China is already the largest market for EVs and the prize will be the total domination in this sector on the global scale.

Phase one for China was the control of the critical elements of the supply chain for Tesla Energy rEVolution and is almost accomplished. Phase two is to commoditize Lithium Batteries and make them dirt cheap. Phase three will be converting its "army of 1000 automakers" (there are 130 auto brands available in China and more than 100 models of electric cars were exhibited at the recent Beijing Auto Show) into the global force driving Chinese economy in the 21st century and taking over overseas markets one by one.

Complications of the Oil and Autos sponsored DIEselGate Party in the West will be the severe hangover and very far-reaching changes in the balance of power. The West is literally facing trillions of dollars in the stranded assets all across $12 Trillion dollars industries of Energy and Transportation, but now you have to add all military complex on top of it as well. To be relevant in the 21st century you do not have to control and protect all many trillion dollars worth of Oil markets and ocean supply chains, you can control just $3 Billion (by sales) Lithium Industry. Asymmetric economic warfare makes the industrial base in the West which was built in the 20th century totally obsolete.

SQM is talking about 10 billion dollars in urgent investments needed just to support lithium industry with the accepted levels of adoption for electric cars. Junior mining market for lithium companies is drying out again while Chinese Companies like CATL, Ganfeng and Tianqi are raising billions of dollars in IPOs and buying all the best available Lithium projects in the world concentrating on the control of productions and off-take agreements. And sometimes it looks like almost everything goes in this cutthroat lithium race to the total EV market domination at stake.

Teslarati:

"Speaking during the Q1 2018 earnings call, Elon Musk announced that Tesla’s next Gigafactory would be built in China. What’s more, Musk stated that all future Gigafactories would support the manufacture of the company’s vehicles.
Musk’s update on its factory plans in China came as a response to a question from CNBC’s Phil LeBeau, who asked for more details about Tesla’s plans regarding the Model Y, the Tesla Semi, and company’s future vehicles. Musk’s response to the question was direct, stating that the next Gigafactory will be established in China
“It has to be later this year. Maybe next quarter, but not later than fourth quarter for Model Y. We also expect to announce the location of a Tesla Gigafactory in China soon. In the future, all Gigafactories will include vehicle production. So, right now, vehicle production and battery production, like battery production and motor and power electronics and charger production are at Giga, and then, we have our Fremont car factory. But future Gigafactories will all incorporate vehicle production.”

The Mainichi:

JUJUY, Argentina -- A lithium-producing area here in the South American Andes has been attracting the attention of numerous Chinese firms determined to secure a firm grip on the emerging lithium industry in the region.

Lithium, which is abundant in this part of the Andes, can be used in a range of devices including rechargeable batteries for electric vehicles (EVs). The rare metal is tipped to represent a "next-generation industry," meaning that this particular corner of the world is set to have a strong influence on foreign investor activity.
Jujuy Province is located in the northwest of Argentina. A Mainichi Shimbun reporter recently visited a lithium factory there, having arrived in the province after a two-hour flight from the capital Buenos Aires followed by a four-hour drive. The factory, located some 4,000 meters above sea level, is jointly run by Australian and Japanese firms. A stunning deep-blue lake spread out near the factory, providing a breathtaking backdrop, but the thin air due to the high altitude was headache-inducing.
Jujuy Province is situated in region known as The Lithium Triangle, which straddles the national borders of Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. Development in the region, connected to the rare metal, is steaming ahead.
The lithium factory, which Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corp. is involved in, pumps groundwater containing lithium from a salt lake the size of Osaka city, and then dries the water under the sun for about one year, across 18 artificial lakes. Once the groundwater has dried, the resulting powder is then shipped on.
"This location is ideal for lithium production as it is positioned above the clouds, meaning lots of fair weather," says 36-year-old Kenta Iguchi, a Toyota Tsusho employee posted in the region.
The price of lithium has approximately doubled over the past 2 1/2 years. China has been buying the rare metal at a rapid pace, in an attempt to use lithium to power EVs, as it tries to dominate the global automobile market.
China's connection with the element has become so strong that two of the world's five major lithium developers are now Chinese, off the back of aggressive acquisition and investment strategies.
Of these two giants, Ganfeng Lithium Co. has teamed up with the Canadian company International Lithium Corp., founded by Kirill Klip. As Kilp explains, "A lithium battle has started, and China is right in the middle of it."
Jujuy Governor Gerardo Morales says, "China leads the pack in terms of lithium development and investment. All new ventures go through the Chinese Embassy here. So in other words, all investment is determined by the Chinese government." Morales adds, "Lots of Chinese people have come here. Too many in fact."
There is no doubt that the relationship between China and Jujuy is deepening. Near Toyota Tsusho's factory, a major Chinese firm is building a new factory as part of a joint venture, and the site is visited by high-ranking government officials. China has also promised cooperation in the fields of science and technology, as sought by Jujuy.
"We also want to engage in technological collaborations with Japanese and German companies. However, the only Japanese company to have come here so far is Toyota Tsusho," Morales says.
Argentina has the world's leading reserves of lithium, and the country's president, Mauricio Macri, is actively encouraging foreign investment into regions that produce the rare metal. Some say that the 21st century will be the "lithium century," following on from the previous "oil century," and that "Argentina will be the next Saudi Arabia."
During a visit to Argentina's Secretary of Mining Daniel Meilan in Buenos Aires, a pile of proposals from mining companies based in countries such as China, France, Canada and Chile could be seen. "Lithium is in demand right across the world. We don't just want to be the world's No. 1 lithium producer, we also want to be strong in terms of rechargeable battery technology," Meilan explains.
The difference in price between lithium powder and lithium ion batteries, is about 1 to 100-200 times per unit weight. Exporting lithium alone is not economically effective. However, by creating areas that can produce rechargeable batteries, which have high added value, a large number of jobs can be created in the country's mountainous areas, which are lagging behind.
"The aim is to develop new rechargeable battery technology and related materials, and compete with the rest of the world," says a 31-year-old lithium-related researcher based near to the city of Jujuy.
Also undergoing development are methods to shorten the time it takes to condense and dry lithium, using solar-powered electrolysis.
"At the moment, interest in lithium is limited to just a few companies, but the development of new technology will bring sustainable prosperity to the region," says Ernesto Calvo, an academic.
However, conditions are also being attached to development geared toward improving the lithium industries of related countries. Bolivia, for example, which is in the Lithium Triangle, has asked countries that want to get involved to contribute toward the development of rechargeable batteries.
Looking ahead, Klip predicts, "Lithium-producing nations will ban exports of lithium, and only export rechargeable batteries. If that happens, China will monopolize lithium because of its vested interest in the product."
If the price of lithium hits the roof due to low supply, China and only China will be able to secure cheap lithium, and proceed with development of rechargeable batteries and EV. That is the predicted scenario that is being quietly talked about by those in the know.
